The FNIRSI MRT1050 is a digital insulation resistance tester for routine checks on cables, motors, switchgear and other electrical equipment. It offers four test voltages from 100 V to 1000 V and measures insulation resistance from 0.1 MΩ to 20 GΩ with ±(5% + 3 digits) accuracy.
Alongside standard insulation tests it handles polarisation index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), timed and continuous measurements, plus AC/DC voltage measurement. A compare function lets you preset pass/fail limits with an audible alarm, and automatic discharge safely releases residual charge after each test, backed by high-voltage warning and low-battery indication.
Up to 100 results can be stored, and the backlit dual-area display shows resistance, unit, test voltage and time at a glance. It runs on 8 × AA batteries or a 12 V DC supply.
