FAQ

Will the V519 work on my UK car?

It works with cars that use the standard OBD2/EOBD diagnostic system. As a general rule, EOBD is fitted to petrol cars from 2001 and diesel cars from 2004 sold in the UK and EU. Look for the 16-pin OBD port, usually under the dashboard near the steering column.

What can it do, and what can't it do?

It reads and clears engine fault codes (turning off the check engine light once the fault is fixed), and shows freeze frame, I/M readiness, live data and battery voltage. It reads the generic OBD2/EOBD engine and emissions data only. It does not read ABS, airbag (SRS), transmission or other manufacturer-specific systems, and it cannot do coding, servicing resets or key programming.

Does it need batteries, an app or a phone?

No. It is powered by the car's OBD2 port and has its own colour screen, so you just plug it in with the ignition on.

Is the screen in English?

Yes. The menus are in English, and you can switch to nine other languages including German, French and Spanish.
