FAQ

What is the AS8803?

It is a Smart Sensor handheld hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas concentration digital display detector with a PPM screen and a 0–500 ppm range.

Is this AS8803 or AS8805 / AS8806 / AS8800* / GM8803 / WT8802?

This listing is Smart Sensor AS8803 only (SKU EKO-AS8803). It is not AS8805 (SO2, SKU EKO-AS8805 £249.99), not AS8806 (NO2, SKU EKO-AS8806 £259.99), not AS8800C/L, not AS8802/4/7/8/9, not GM8803, and not WT8802.

What gas does it measure?

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), displayed in PPM. It is not a sulfur dioxide (SO2) meter and not a nitrogen dioxide (NO2) meter—do not confuse with AS8805 or AS8806.

What is the measuring range?

Supplier and listing specs for AS8803 list 0–500 ppm H2S. That is different from the 0~20 ppm range on AS8805 (SO2) and AS8806 (NO2).
